The Department of Posts, celebrated the 11th International Day of Yoga 2025 with great enthusiasm at the premises of Meghdoot Bhawan the Office of the Chief Postmaster General, Delhi. The event aligned with the national spirit of wellness and the global theme of “Yoga for One Earth, One Health”, reinforcing the Department’s commitment to promoting a healthy and balanced lifestyle among its staff.

The celebration saw active participation from senior officers, staff members, and postal employees. The gathering engaged in a group session practicing the Common Yoga Protocol (CYP), which included breathing exercises, asanas, and meditation techniques designed to promote physical and mental well-being.
Release of Philatelic ancillaries on the 11th International Day of Yoga
To mark the occasion, the Department released a set of 7 Picture Postcards themed on ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health’ and key-chains based on Surya Namaskar stamps. These philatelic ancillaries celebrate India’s intangible heritage and reflect India Post’s tradition of promoting national and cultural milestones. Speaking at the event, senior officials emphasized that yoga is not just an exercise but a way of life, and encouraged everyone to make it a regular part of their daily routine for better physical and mental well-being.
The programme was part of a nationwide initiative by the Department of Posts to observe the 11th International Day of Yoga across all postal circles and divisions. It reinforced the role of yoga in fostering unity, resilience, and collective well-being among employees and communities alike.
