Mumbai, 21 June 2025

Maharashtra celebrated the 11th International Day of Yoga with great enthusiasm across the state today, 21st June 2025, bringing together people from all walks of life under this year’s theme – ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health’.

From the iconic Gateway of India in Mumbai to the historic Ellora Caves and Kanheri Caves, and from leading institutions like the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Mumbai to the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA), National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), Tata Memorial Centre, Controller of Communication Accounts, Videsh Bhavan, Mumbai, Regional Passport Office (RPO) and Konkan Railway, yoga sessions were held in diverse settings. At Rotary Sanskardham Academy for Children with Special Needs in Goregaon (West), over 75 hearing-impaired children participated in a special yoga session organised by Ali Yavar Jung National Institute of Speech and Hearing Disabilities (Divyangjan) in collaboration with Press Information Bureau, Mumbai.

Various ministries and government bodies, from the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Ayush, to the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), came together in a spirit of convergence and collaboration. Union ministers, senior officials, students, NCC cadets, doctors, railway staff, cancer patients and their caregivers, teachers, and citizens all joined in, turning the day into a truly collective celebration of health and harmony.

Whether it was early morning yoga by the sea, wellness sessions in schools and hospitals, or community events in government offices and campuses, these photos capture the energy, commitment, and spirit of the people of Maharashtra as they came together to celebrate wellness and unity through yoga.
