Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution in collaboration with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, organised a mass yoga demonstration at Sundar Nursery, New Delhi to mark the 11th International Yoga Day.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from senior officers and staff of the Ministry, as well as officials from its Public Sector Undertakings and attached offices including the Food Corporation of India (FCI), Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC), and the Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority (WDRA).

The yoga session was conducted under the expert guidance of instructors from the Ministry of Ayush and followed the Common Yoga Protocol. This year’s theme—“Yoga for One Earth, One Health”—emphasised the holistic benefits of yoga in fostering physical, mental, and emotional well-being, while also aligning with the broader vision of planetary health.

The programme was inaugurated with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Secretary, Department of Food and Public Distribution, Shri Sanjeev Chopra; Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs, Smt. Nidhi Khare; Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Shri Santosh Kumar Sarangi and other senior officials.

The event reflected the Ministry’s continued commitment to promoting mindfulness, health, and sustainable lifestyles among its personnel. The serene surroundings of Sundar Nursery enhanced the spirit of the occasion, reinforcing yoga’s core message of unity, harmony, and well-being.
