Union Minister Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani Thanks PM Modi, Nitin Gadkari for Sanctioning Exit Ramp to AIIMS Mangalagiri on NH-16

Union Minister of State for Rural Development and Communications, Dr. Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, informed that Government of India has sanctioned the construction of a ramp or exit connecting the main highway (NH-16) to the service road in the Guntur to Vijayawada direction, along with sufficient signage indicating directions to reach AIIMS Mangalagiri in Andhra Pradesh. The proposed ramp will reduce the travel distance to the AIIMS less than one third of the distance.

In a post on X, he wrote, “We have been able to get this project sanctioned by the Central Government for the benefit of AIIMS Hospital in Guntur district. We have secured approval to convert the entry ramp on NH 16 at Km. 429+400 in Mangalagiri into an exit ramp. This will reduce the travel distance to AIIMS Mangalagiri from 4.66 km to 1.26 km, For the clarity and convenience of passengers, 13 directional boards will be installed at 3 locations on NH 16 towards AIIMS.

The MoS thanked Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari for his cooperation in these development measures. Highlighting the Union Government's efforts toward the development of Andhra Pradesh, Dr. Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani stated that under the leadership of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu, the state government was able to secure this project for the benefit of AIIMS Hospital in Guntur district. He also thanked the Chandrababu Naidu, for their prompt response to public needs.
