The Sports Authority of India Regional Centre, LNCPE Thiruvananthapuram, today hosted a Media Conclave to brief leading media houses in Kerala on the recently approved National Sports Policy 2025 – Khelo Bharat NITI 2025.

Delivering the keynote address, Dr. G. Kishore, Principal, LNCPE and Regional Head, outlined the policy’s five strategic pillars: Excellence on the Global Stage, Sports for Economic Development, Sports for Social Inclusion and Empowerment, Sports as a People’s Movement, and Harmony with the National Education Policy 2020. He emphasized the newly launched National Sports Policy’s vision to establish India as a leading sporting nation by 2036 and outlined SAI RC LNCPE's crucial role in its implementation through training, research, and grassroots initiatives. Dr. Kishore underscored the media's indispensable role in amplifying the policy's message, fostering public participation, and collectively building a fitter, stronger, and more inclusive sporting nation.

The conclave witnessed the participation of Sh. Radhakrishnan Nair P, Chief Coach (Athletics), Athletics Federation of India; Dr. Piyush Jain, National Secretary, Physical Education Foundation of India; Dr. Pradip Dutta, Associate Professor and In-charge (Academics), LNCPE; Dr. Wazir Singh, High Performance Director (Athletics), Sports Authority of India; Mr. Piyush Kumar Dubey, High Performance Director (Hockey), SAI HQ; Dr. Snehangshu Adhikari, Scientific Officer, SAI NSSC Kolkata; and Sh. Yumnam Momo Singh, Scientific Officer (Sports Anthropometry), SAI NIS Patiala.

The event concluded with an Open House Q&A and Media Interaction session, followed by a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Pradip Dutta.
