Posted On: 03 JUL 2025 7:19PM by PIB Hyderabad

Andhra Pradesh Regional Provident Fund Commissioner, Mr Abdul Khader appealed the newly joining employees to avail the benefits of Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) Scheme. He briefed the media at Press Information Bureau, in Vijayawada, on the Centre’s newly approved ELI scheme, which aims to create over 3.5 crore formal jobs across the nation, over the next two years.

Mr. Khader highlighted that the scheme will help create new jobs across the manufacturing sector. Referring to Andhra Pradesh, he said, with an average of ten thousand per quarter, “a total of 76,49,844 employees from State are enrolled in EPFO as on date”.

However, he stated that the ELI scheme applies to the fresh recruitments only. Employees or the employers can visit to the https://shramsuvidha.gov.in/home to enrol and avail the benefits under the scheme.

“The scheme is expected to benefit 1.92 crore first-time workers in the country. Under the scheme, a first-time employee will get one month’s wage up to ₹15,000 in two instalments. Payments will be made directly to Aadhaar-linked employee accounts and PAN-linked employer accounts to ensure transparency and ease of disbursal,” Commissioner Mr Khader said.

Additionally, employers will get incentives in respect of employees with salaries up to ₹1 lakh. The government will incentivize employers up to ₹3,000 per month, for two years, for each additional employee with sustained employment for at least six months. For the manufacturing sector, incentives will be extended to the third and fourth years as well, Mr Khader said.

PIB Director Pamula Ratnakar, and EPFO Enforcement Officer Vijay Kumar were present in the press conference.
