Extension of KSR Bengaluru–SSS Hubballi Train to Sindhanur: Flagged Off by Union Minister of State for Railways Shri V. Somanna

The train (No. 17391/92) operating between KSR Bengaluru and SSS Hubballi has been extended up to Sindhanur. The extended service was flagged off today at a function held in Sindhanur by the Hon'ble Union Minister of State for Railways, Shri V. Somanna.

Speaking at the press conference held afterward, Shri V. Somanna stated that a reservation counter will soon be set up at the Sindhanur Railway Station. A passenger rest house will also be constructed, and additional passenger amenities will be provided. He added that the extension of this train will greatly benefit the development of trade, industry, agriculture, and education sectors in the region. With the introduction of this daily train service, residents of Sindhanur and nearby villages will be able to conveniently travel to Hubballi and Bengaluru.
The Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has shown special interest in the construction of railway overbridges (ROB) and Railway underbridges (RUB) across the country. The department has already begun swift execution of these projects. Cooperation from state governments is essential for their completion. All earlier plans are being completed at an accelerated pace, he said.
