Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) and the Adani Foundation have announced a strategic partnership aimed at bolstering skill-based training initiatives for underprivileged youth across India. This collaboration, solidified through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on July 21, 2025, marks a significant step towards providing comprehensive and immersive training experiences. The Suraksha Bal Prashikshan Programme, organized by RRU, will be a key component of this initiative, specifically designed for Adani Foundation trainees. This partnership is a testament to the visionary leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Bimal N. Patel, Vice-Chancellor, RRU, and Dr. Priti Adani, Chairperson of the Adani Foundation.

The MoU signing ceremony was attended by key representatives from both institutions. From Rashtriya Raksha University, the attendees included Prof. (Dr.) Kalpesh H. Wandra, Pro-Vice Chancellor; Prof. (Dr.) Priyanka Sharma, Dean-EDLD; Maj Gen R K Raina, Director, SISDSS, Mr. Nimesh Dave, Director, SPICSM and Dr. Garima Kumavat, Centre Head (I/c), Suraksha Bal Prashikshan, SISDSS. The Adani Foundation was represented by Mr. Vasant Gadhavi, Executive Director (virtual presence), Dr. Abhishek Lakhtakia, CEO; Mr. Nitin Shiralkar, COO-Cement; Mr. Manas Das, Vertical Lead, SLD and Ms. Vaidehi Chokshi, Head, Brands. The Suraksha Bal Prashikshan Programme is designed as a fully immersive training model, ensuring that participants reside on campus throughout the course duration. This approach aims to provide a focused and comprehensive learning environment for the trainees.

This programme will provide a structured daily routine for trainees, beginning early in the morning and extending into the evening. This routine will encompass physical training, academic sessions and personality development activities. The residential nature of the program will promote peer interaction, teamwork and a conducive environment for holistic development, ultimately leading to improved outcomes and the achievement of training objectives. This structured approach is designed to instil discipline, consistency and focused learning by minimizing distractions, thereby enhancing the overall learning experience.

Prof. (Dr.) Priyanka Sharma, during her opening address, welcomed all dignitaries and trainees of Adani Foundation who joined from various parts of the country including Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh Maharashtra & Gujarat and emphasized on the nation building efforts of RRU & Adani Foundation by empowering youth of nation particularly of underprivileged sections of community by supporting their skill empowerment and livelihood.

Prof. (Dr.) Kalpesh H. Wandra, Pro-VC, RRU, emphasized the significance of the partnership, stating that this collaboration will offer young trainees a valuable platform for their overall development during their time on campus. He congratulated the trainee beneficiaries for being selected by the Adani Foundation, encouraging them to seize this opportunity—not only to improve their economic well-being but also to support their families and contribute to society.

He further assured that the 75-day training programme would lead to a transformative journey, enhancing their personality and empowering them to become ambassadors of positive change, representing both Rashtriya Raksha University and the Adani Foundation.

On the momentous occasion marked by purpose and promise, Dr. Priti G. Adani, Chairperson, Adani Foundation stated that the Suraksha Bal Prashikshan programme will open countless opportunities for rural youth to rise with purpose, pride, and a renewed sense of direction. She reflected with deep satisfaction over the growing impact of the Foundation’s pre-police training program in remote, rural communities, which has successfully trained over 2,100 youth to date, and has been the basis for the Foundation to identify a powerful, often overlooked aspiration among rural youth – to serve the nation in uniform. To enable these aspirations, the Adani Foundation is now supporting promising candidates to prepare for entrance exams into uniformed and institutional security forces through Suraksha Bal Prashikshan program in collaboration with Rashtriya Raksha University, one of India’s leading security educational universities. Dr. Priti G. Adani believes this small, yet significant step will spark a ripple effect, transforming aspirations into actionable paths of service and empowerment. What began as a grassroots initiative is now poised to create lasting impact – turning ambition into action and unlocking the potential of India’s rural heartland.
