Directorate General of Resettlement, Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare, Ministry of Defence organised a Job Fair for ESM of Armed Forces on 25 July 2025 at Ahmedabad Military Station, Ahmedabad(Guj) to bring ESM/retiring personnel seeking employment opportunities and the Corporate entities on a common platform. The event received an overwhelming response from the ESM from Ahmedabad & nearby regions. 1100 plus ESM from Army, Navy and Airforce registered for seeking employment & turned up for the event. 70 companies registered while 50 companies physically participated in the Job Fair offering 1000 plus Job Vacancies.

The shortlisted ESM would be interviewed/screened and subsequently employed in various roles ranging from Supervisory, Technical support, Jr to Sr Management, Administration & Directors.

The event was beneficial for both Corporates and the ESM.  While the ESM got a platform to showcase their technical and administrative prowess acquired during their years in service, the Corporates benefitted by screening the pool of experienced, disciplined and skilled ESM.

The Job Fair saw representation from reputed national & multinational Corporate entities.

Maj Gen Gaurav Bagga, GOC 11 RAPID alongwith Cmde Vikrant Kishore, Principal Director, DGR addressed the gathering of ESM & Corporate representatives.

Mr Vimal Ambani, Past Chairman CII, Gujarat State Council and CEO & MD, Tower Overseas Ltd addressed the gathering as the Corporate Guest of Honour.

Mr Himanshu Patel, Senior VP, Vadodara Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Mr Apurva Shah, Senior Vice President of GCCI, Mr Pathik Patwari, Director Nexus Group & past president GCCI, Col Vijay Pandey, Head of Security, Adani Power & AESL were also present during the event

Job Fair is a DGR initiative providing Ex-Servicemen with second career options.
