CRPF Celebrates Raising Day at Group Centre Bengaluru

The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) marked its 87th Raising Day with patriotic zeal and ceremonial splendour at Group Centre, Bengaluru. The celebrations were led by Dr. Vipul Kumar, IPS, Inspector General, Karnataka Kerala Sector, who paid homage at the CRPF Memorial, honouring the martyrs who laid down their lives in the line of duty.

The ceremony continued with a Ceremonial Guard of Honour at the Quarter Guard, in the presence of distinguished officers, including Shri Anil Kumar, DIG, Range Bengaluru, Shri Padma Kumar, DIG, GC Bengaluru, Dr. Angel Bennet DIG Medical CH Bengaluru and other officers and personnel.

The event was graced by Shri M. Maheshwar Rao, IAS, Commissioner, BBMP, as the Chief Guest, accompanied by BBMP Zonal Commissioner Shri Karee Gowda, IAS. Both dignitaries participated in the ceremonial activities, commemorating the CRPF’s distinguished legacy of national service and sacrifice.

A symbolic tree plantation by Shri Maheshwar Rao marked the Force’s dedication to resilience and environmental stewardship. This was followed by a live demonstration by the CRPF VIP Security Wing, showcasing elite tactical preparedness and operational excellence in VIP protection.

As part of a civil-security collaboration, BBMP also organized a public awareness programme on civic responsibilities and health initiatives. The initiative received enthusiastic participation and highlighted the importance of civic engagement in urban governance.

In his address, Shri Maheshwar Rao commended the CRPF for its unwavering professionalism, courage, and vital role in maintaining internal security and supporting civil administration across the nation.
