SAI RC Mumbai Collaborates with India Post for FIT India’s ‘Sundays on Cycle’ Campaign

In a vibrant celebration of fitness and public service, the Sports Authority of India – Regional Centre Mumbai, in collaboration with India Post, organized a special edition of #SundaysOnCycle on 03rd August 2025.
The event was conducted simultaneously across four locations: Mumbai GPO, Karjat Post Office, Satana Post Office, and SAI NCOE Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar (in association with the Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar Postal Division), collectively drawing participation from over 350 cycling enthusiasts. Notable attendees included Directors, Assistant Directors of Postal Services, Deputy Directors (Administration), along with administrative staff and postmen.
Flag-Off at Mumbai GPO by Smt. Rekha Rizwi
At the Mumbai GPO, the ride was ceremonially flagged off by Smt. Rekha Rizwi, Director, Mumbai GPO. She shared an inspiring message:
“Let this ride spread the message of fitness and inspire citizens to fight obesity. Today, our postmen are not just delivering letters—they’re delivering a call to action: ride for health, ride for change!”
The cycling route extended from the Mumbai GPO to the Gateway of India, symbolizing a journey towards a healthier tomorrow.

- Satana: Shri Sahebrao Mhasde, Postmaster General, Satana
- Aurangabad: Shri Asad Shaikh, Assistant Director, Indian Postal Services
This initiative aligns with the goals of the Fit India Movement and Khelo India campaign. #SundaysOnCycle, supported by SAI, continues to gain momentum across India—promoting sustainable, community-based fitness habits accessible to all.
