The historic city of Mysuru is all set to host the first-ever Mysuru Marathon on Sunday, 26th October 2025, in a grand celebration of fitness, heritage, and community spirit. The event is being organised by NEB Sports and entertainment Ltd., in association with India Post and the Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports, Government of Karnataka. A curtain raiser press conference for “Mysuru Marathon” was organized on 11 August, 2025, at the Meghdoot Auditorium in Bengaluru GPO, where the official logo and a Picture Postcard for “Mysuru Marathon” were launched.

Speaking about the event, Shri K Prakash, Chief Postmaster General, Karnataka Circle, said: “India Post is proud to present the first edition of Mysuru Marathon. This is a part of the World Post Day celebrated on 9th Oct.  The Postal Training Centre, with its rich legacy, is the perfect setting to inspire a new generation towards health and active living.” Participants can choose from Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K categories. The race route will pass through the scenic and challenging terrain of Chamundi Hills, offering runners a rare blend of natural beauty and physical endurance. The venue for the event is the Heritage Postal Training Centre, a landmark institution that adds cultural significance to this sporting occasion.
