Central Bureau of Communication, Regional Office, Imphal, Organizes ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Outreach Program

The Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Regional Office, Imphal, organized a special outreach program, “Har Ghar Tiranga,” on Wednesday to promote national pride and unity by encouraging citizens to hoist the national flag at their homes.
Dr Engam Pame, Director of CBC and PIB Imphal, along with officers from CBC Regional Office, Imphal, and PIB Imphal, participated in the event, which aimed to foster patriotism and a sense of collective identity across the nation.
National flags were distributed to all participants, accompanied by a brief session on the proper procedures for hoisting and handling the flag with dignity.

In his address, Dr Engam Pame highlighted the significance of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign in promoting patriotism among citizens. He commended the efforts of the Song and Drama Division artists in fostering national pride through their music. Reflecting on Manipur’s patriotic history, Dr. Pame honored the sacrifices of patriots who protected their land and people. He emphasized the importance of respecting the national flag as a symbol of patriotism and outlined proper methods for its handling and display.

Meanwhile, M. Rustum Singh, Assistant Director, CBC Field Office, Chandel, shared fascinating facts about the Indian flag, highlighting its rich history and symbolism. He urged participants to raise awareness about the flag’s significance, particularly among children, to instill patriotism and national pride. His remarks underscored the importance of respecting and honoring the national flag.

H. Deepakumar Sharma, Field Exhibition Officer, CBC Regional Office, Imphal, spoke on patriotism and the relevance of the national flag. He highlighted the significance of the flag’s colors, which represent the nation’s unity and integrity.

Pushpa Maibam, Media and Communication Officer, PIB Imphal, emphasized the vital role of government employees, especially those in media units, in raising public awareness about government schemes and programs. She stressed the importance of adhering to the Flag Code and reviving the spirit of patriotism. She appealed to the audience to respect and honor the national flag, fostering a sense of national pride and unity.

Dr. W. Urmila, Field Publicity Officer, CBC Field Office, Senapati, underscored the importance of hoisting the national flag at every home through the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. She outlined the dos and don’ts of flag display, urging respect for the tricolor in all forms—physical flags, photos, and paintings. She also cautioned against disrespecting the national flag, emphasizing the need to uphold its dignity.

The program featured a captivating performance by the Song and Drama Division, blending vocal and instrumental music in a harmonious tribute to the nation. The event concluded with a renewed sense of patriotism and a commitment to promoting national unity and pride.
