Comprehensive information on centrally-sponsored schemes were presented by departmental officials in "Vartalap" workshop organized by Press Information Bureau, Bengaluru

The Press Information Bureau, Government of India, Bengaluru, along with the Yadgiri District Administration, Yadgiri Zilla Panchayat, Department of Information and Public Relations, Karnataka Working Journalists' Association (R) Yadgiri District Unit, and Karnataka Editors' Association (R) Yadgiri District Unit, jointly organized a “Vartalap” workshop for media representatives today at SDN Hotel in Yadgiri. Various department officials and resource persons of the union and state governments provided information about central government-sponsored schemes.

In the first session of the workshop, Shri Lavish Ordia, Chief Executive Officer, Yadgiri Zilla Panchayat, spoke on the topic of "Importance and Purpose of Aspirational District Programme." He mentioned that Yadgiri district has been included in the list of aspirational districts based on 49 different parameters such as health, education, infrastructure, and skill development. Facilities are being provided in the district on priority-basis to meet the needs of the people. He also emphasized that the participative role of society is equally significant in the development efforts of the government.

Shri Javed Inamdar, the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Surapura, shared comprehensive information on the new criminal laws - Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023. Shri Bheemrao Panchal, Manager of SBI Yadgiri and District Lead Bank, provided details about the ongoing financial inclusion saturation campaign and its status. Shri Rathendranath Suguru, Joint Director, Agriculture Department spoke about the implementation of agricultural and horticultural sector schemes in the district.

During the second session in the afternoon, Shri Yuvraj S V, Joint Director of ESIC, Kalaburagi, shared information regarding the Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) Scheme and the Scheme for Promotion of Registration of Employers and Employees (SPREE). Shri Tippanna P. Sirasigi, Deputy Director, Department of Women and Child Development, spoke about the development schemes available for women and children and their implementation status in the district. Dr. Mahesh Biradar, Yadgir District Health and Family Welfare Officer, shared information about the implementation of health and family welfare schemes. Shri Mayur Kumar, District Youth Officer, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Kalaburagi, explained the initiatives taken by the union government for youth empowerment.
