Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment is organizing the “Shilp Samagam Mela 2025” in Bengaluru
A 10-day fair from 5th to 14th September 2025 is set to showcase the diverse culture and craftsmanship of the country

The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment is organizing the “Shilp Samagam Mela 2025” at Freedom Park in Gandhinagar, Bengaluru. The mela will be inaugurated by Dr. Virendra Kumar, Hon’ble Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment on September 5, 2025 at 4 PM. Shri Ramdas Athawale, Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, will also participate in the event. The mela will be organised for 10 days till 14th September, between 11 AM to 9 PM daily. Entry is free for the public.
The “Shilp Samagam Mela” will feature an exhibition and sale of household, decorative, handwoven, and other indigenous products crafted by over a hundred artisans from Scheduled Castes, Backward Classes, Safai Mitra, Denotified, Nomadic & Semi-nomadic tribes artisans from various states of India. Additionally, traditional Indian delicacies will be showcased. The fair will also host cultural programs reflecting the diverse art forms of the country every day from 6 PM to 9 PM.
Organized as a realization of the ‘Vocal for Local’ initiative, this fair will be a confluence of the remarkable craftsmanship and cultural diversity of the country’s artisans.
