Dehradun is all set to witness the special nationwide re-release of the National Award-winning film “Chalo Jeete Hain”, starting 18 September 2025. The film will be screened at INOX Dehradun Mall, PVR Centrio Dehradun, and PVR Pacific Dehradun, bringing the inspiring message of Swami Vivekananda’s philosophy to young audiences in the city.

The critically acclaimed short film, among the most viewed of 2018, is a moving cinematic tribute to Swami Vivekananda’s timeless message—“Bas wahi jeete hain, jo doosro ke liye jeete hain” (Only those are truly successful who live for others). Directed by Mangesh Hadawale and presented by Aanand L. Rai and Mahaveer Jain, the film portrays a childhood incident from the life of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, through the story of young Naru who sets out to live a life of purpose and service.

Inspiring Young Minds in Dehradun

To mark this special re-release, the ‘Chalo Jeete Hain: Seva Ka Sanman’ initiative has been launched nationwide. In Dehradun screenings too, Silent Heroes—watchmen, drivers, cleaning staff, peons and others who contribute silently to society—will be felicitated alongside students after the film. The initiative seeks to inspire the city’s youth to value empathy, selflessness, and service over self-interest.

Nationwide Impact, Dehradun Participation

Producer Mahaveer Jain said, “This movement carries a deeply powerful message. It will inspire millions of young minds about valuing and respecting every work and each individual. It reinforces the timeless values of selflessness, empathy and duty to the nation—a true tribute to our Prime Minister.”

Winner of the National Award for Best Non-Feature Film on Family Values, “Chalo Jeete Hain” continues to strike a chord with audiences across India. With its screenings now reaching Dehradun’s premier cinema halls, the city’s students and citizens will join lakhs across the country in experiencing the film’s inspirational message.
