To strengthen voluntarism and collective action for Swachhata, a fortnight of Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign, 2025 (SHS 2025) will be observed by the Department of Justice from 17^th September, 2025 to 2nd October, 2025 under the theme of this Year “Swachhotsav”[“स्वच्छोत्सव”] that aligns with the festive spirit of the period.

Key focus area of SHS-2025 campaign and action proposed by the Department of Justice are:-

Cleanliness Target Units (CTUs)-Shramdaan Activities: Focused on   overall cleanliness in Department of Justice at Jaisalmer House, Mansingh Road, New Delhi.

Cleaning of Public Spaces: General cleanliness of rooms/ sections/ corridors/ canteen area/ washrooms, etc. on daily basis.

Clean Green Utsav- Eco-friendly and zero waste celebration:An event to plant trees in the front lawn of Jaisalmer House and cleanlinessdrive in and around Entry and Exit Gate of Jaisalmer House.

Safai Mitra Suraksha Shivirs: As a welfare measure for Safai Mitras, Department of Justice plan to provide Swachhata kits and incentives to House Keeping Staff (HKS) during the campaign.

Advocacy:A briefing session on three R’s- Reduce, Reuse, Recycleby JS (Admin.)on 25.09.2025

Department of Justice will join in nationwide one-hour shramdaan event proposed by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs [MoHUA] and Department of Drinking Water and Sanitization [DDWS] “Ek Din, Ek Ghanta Ek Saath” on 25.09.2025.

 

As a part of celebration of SHS- 2025 campaign, Secretary (Justice) administered Oath on ‘Swachhata”, to the officials of the department on 17^th September, 2025 at 10:45AM. During the Campaign period officers and Staff of the Department will perform “Shramdaan” involving deep cleaning of the building of the Jaisalmer House complex. Beside this, inter-alia unclogging of Sewerage system, beautification of the area by painting plant pots, deep cleaning of all staircases, fixing all loose wires, cleaning of upholstery, deep cleaning of all pathways, working space and arranging records are also planned.
