In Chhattisgarh’s Narayanpur district, the 29th Battalion of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) organised a free medical camp under the “Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan” at the COB premises in Dhanora. The objective of the camp was to provide better healthcare facilities to rural women and the general public, while also strengthening mutual trust and cooperation between the force and the community.

The camp witnessed the participation of around 150 women, 50 men, and 20 children, along with a large number of villagers and ITBP personnel. Medical services were provided by ITBP Senior Medical Officer Dr. Deepak Thakur, Dr. Avinash Shakhrdande from Primary Health Centre Dhanora, and their team. Health check-ups were conducted during the camp and necessary medical advice was given.

Special awareness sessions were held for women on hygiene, balanced nutrition, and protection from seasonal diseases. Villagers were also sensitised on the importance of the “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan” (Drug-Free India Campaign).

A large number of ITBP personnel, local villagers, and public representatives were present on the occasion. The initiative not only reflects the social responsibility and humanitarian approach of the ITBP but also proved to be an exemplary effort in further strengthening the cordial relationship between the force and the community.
