Sewa Parv 2025: Viksit Bharat Ke Rang, Kala Ke Sang

The Ministry of Culture, Government of India, is celebrating the Sewa Parv 2025 from 17th September to 2nd October 2025 as a nationwide festival of service, creativity, and cultural pride. Guided by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of a Viksit Bharat by 2047, Sewa Parv aims to bring together communities, institutions, and individuals in a collective movement of Sewa (service), creativity, and cultural pride.
As part of the ongoing Sewa Parv 2025 the Ministry of Culture organized a diverse range of art workshops on 27th September 2025 across multiple States and Union Territories. The events witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, artists, academicians, dignitaries, and community leaders, strengthening the nationwide resolve for cultural celebration and civic responsibility.
Highlights of the art workshops and cleanliness drives held on 27th September 2025 through the institutions of Ministry of Culture are as under:
- Raipur, Chhattisgarh – P. G. Umathe Higher Secondary School (Organised by CCRT Regional Centre)
In Raipur, an art workshop was organized at P. G. Umathe Higher Secondary School. The event was attended by Dr. M. Sudhish (Assistant Director, Samagra Shiksha, Raipur), Shri Himanshu Bharti (District Education Officer), Shri Vishwaranjan Mishra (DMC, Raipur), and Shri Amit Tiwari (Block Education Officer, Dharsiwa Urban).

- Bokaro, Jharkhand – Sree Ayyappa Public School, Bokaro Steel City (Organised by CCRT)
In Bokaro, an art workshop was organized at Sree Ayyappa Public School with local education officials in attendance, including Pranjal Dhanda (SDM, Chas), Dr. Atul Chaubey (DSE, Bokaro), and Smt. Pratima Das (BEEO, Gomia).

- Wardha, Maharashtra – Chakragruha, Sevagram Road, Warud (Organised by South Zonal Cultural Centre, SZCC)
In Wardha, an art camp was organized at Chakragruha, Sevagram Road, Warud, engaging over 300 school students. The workshop encouraged participants to explore their creativity and artistic skills while fostering collaboration and a deeper appreciation for cultural expression.
- Indore, Madhya Pradesh – The Millennium School, Nayta Mundla (Organised by CCRT)
In Indore, an art workshop was organized at The Millennium School, Nayta Mundla. The session was attended by Shri Shankar Lalwani (Member of Parliament, Indore) and other local dignitaries who encouraged students to link creativity with community engagement.
- Indore, Madhya Pradesh – Government Maharani Laxmi Bai Girls Postgraduate Collage, Indore (Organised by CCRT)
A second art workshop was organized in Indore at Government Maharani Laxmi Bai Girls Postgraduate Collage under the aegis of CCRT. Dignitaries for this event included Shri Shankar Lalwani (MP), Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya (Cabinet Minister), Shri Pushya Mitra Bhargava (Mayor, Indore), and Shri R. C. Dixit (Additional Director of Higher Education).
- Udaipur, Rajasthan – Meera Girls College, Madhuban (Organised by West Zonal Cultural Centre, WZCC)
In Udaipur, an art workshop was organized at Meera Girls College. The programme was attended by Dr. Madan Singh Rathore (Professor, MLSU Udaipur) and Prof. Deepak Maheshwari (Principal, Meera Girls College).

- Udaipur, Rajasthan – Shilpgram (Organised by West Zonal Cultural Centre, WZCC)
Also in Udaipur, an art workshop was organized at Shilpgram featuring creative demonstrations and mentoring by Dr. Madan Singh Rathore and Shri Alay Mistry (Sculpture Artist, Ahmedabad).

- Ahmedabad, Gujarat – Sabarmati River Front (Organised by West Zonal Cultural Centre, WZCC)
At Ahmedabad’s Sabarmati River Front, an art workshop was organized bringing together professional artists, students and local communities. Eminent artists and local cultural leaders who participated included Shri Mahesh V. Desai, Shri Amit Ambalal, Shri Vrindavan Solanki, Shri Shweta Parikh, Shri Anant Mehta, Shri Trupti Dave, Shri Vinod Rawal, Shri Chandrakant Kachara, Shri Hansmukh Panchal, and Shri Manish Modi.

- Mangalore, Karnataka – Yenepoya University (Organised by South Zonal Cultural Centre, SZCC)
In Mangalore, an art workshop was organized at Yenepoya University with participation from the university community. The programme was joined by Dr. Vijayendra V. Itagi (Principal, Yenepoya Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital) and Dr. Ashwini S. Shetty (NSS Programme Coordinator, Yenepoya University).

- Puducherry – Petit Seminaire Higher Secondary School (Organised by IGNCA Regional Centre)
In Puducherry, an art workshop was organized at Petit Seminaire Higher Secondary School. The event observed distinguished presence including Shri K. Kailashnathan ( Governor of Puducherry), Shri N. Rangasamy (Chief Minister), Shri A. Namassivayam (Home Minister), Shri Mohammed Ahsan Abid (Secretary, Art & Culture), and Shri R. Mounissamy (Director, Information & Publicity).
- Sambalpur, Odisha – Chandra Sekhar Behera Zilla School (Organised by Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre, EZCC)
In Sambalpur, an art workshop was organized at Chandra Sekhar Behera Zilla School. The programme was graced by Padma Shri Dr. Jitendriya Haripal and international artists Shri Manoj Kumar Chowdhury, Shri Radha Raman Muduli, and Shri Prashanta Ku Majhee, who engaged with participants and encouraged them to keep tradition and innovation in creative dialogue.
- Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh (Organised by North East Zonal Cultural Centre, NEZCC)
In Itanagar, an art workshop was organized with active participation from students and faculty of Rajiv Gandhi University. The event was attended by Prof. S. K. Nayak (Vice Chancellor, Rajiv Gandhi University), Dr. N. T. Rikam (Registrar, RGU), and Prof. Uttam Kr. Pegu (Dean, Faculty of Visual and Performing Arts).
- Pune, Maharashtra – Bharati Vidyapeeth School of Performing Arts (Organised by CCRT Regional Centre)
In Pune, a large art workshop was organized at Bharati Vidyapeeth’s School of Performing Arts. The session was joined by Dr. (Mrs.) Medha Kulkarni (Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha), Dr. Vishwajeet Kadam (Secretary & Pro Vice-Chancellor, Bharati Vidyapeeth), Dr. Vinod Narayan Indurkar (Chairman, CCRT, New Delhi), and Dr. Milind Dhoble (Dean, Faculty of Arts and Performing Arts, MIT-ADT University, Pune).
- Aizawl, Mizoram – DIET, Chaltlang (Organised by NEZCC)
In Aizawl, an art workshop was organized at the DIET centre. The event was attended by Shri C. Lalsawivunga (Minister, Art & Culture, Government of Mizoram) and Smt. Carol VLMS Dawngkimi (Director, Art & Culture Department).
- Agartala, Tripura – Nazrul Kalakshetra (Organised by NEZCC)
In Agartala, an art workshop was organized at Nazrul Kalakshetra, attended by Shri Rajiv Bhattacharjee (MP), Shri P. K. Chakrovorty (IAS, Principal Secretary, ICA, Tripura), and Shri Bimbisar Bhattacharjee (Director, ICA, Tripura).
- Jammu & Kashmir – (Organised by IGNCA Regional Centre)
A series of art workshops were organized across multiple heritage and educational sites in Jammu & Kashmir under Sewa Parv 2025.

- Udhampur – Workshops were organized at HSS Kud and Sudh Mahadev with enthusiastic student participation.
- Reasi – Workshops took place at Sula Park (graced by Deepak Sharma, Principal) and HSS Katra (Principal Rashmi).
- Doda – At Gatha Bhaderwah, the workshop was attended by Syed Shafayat Ali (Principal, HSS Girls Bhaderwah), while at Gila Bhaderwah, Mr. Umesh Kumar (Nodal Officer) interacted with participants.
- Kishtwar – Workshops were organized at the Historical Chowgan Ground and HSS Atholi, Paddar, both attended by Sanjay Dogra (CEO).
- Jammu – Events were organized at the Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex and Bahu Fort, where students explored heritage through art.
- Poonch – A workshop was organized at Mandi New Bridge.
- Samba – Art workshops were held at Samba Fort (Sh. Kewal Krishan, CEO Samba) and Baba Chamliyal (Inspector Nalan Akka, BSF).

Digital Participation
To ensure widespread engagement, the Ministry has enabled digital participation through the Sewa Parv portal:
- Institutional uploads: All the institutions under the Ministry of Culture and various States and Union Territories are documenting and uploading their events at the Sewa Parv portal https://amritkaal.nic.in/sewa-parv.htm.
- Citizen contributions: Individuals can upload their artworks, photographs, and creative expressions directly on the portal, and share them on social media using #SewaParv.

How to Participate?
- Individual Participation
Anyone can contribute by creating an artwork on the theme “Viksit Bharat ke Rang, Kala Ke Sang” in any medium or material of their choice. Participants may upload images of their artwork at: https://amritkaal.nic.in/sewa-parv-individual-participants
- Join a Painting Workshop at One of the 75 Locations

The art workshops and cleanliness drives organised on 27th September 2025 across Sambalpur, Itanagar, Pune, Raipur, Bokaro, Indore, Udaipur, Puducherry, Ahmedabad, Mangalore, Aizawl, Agartala, Wardha, and multiple locations in Jammu & Kashmir brought together thousands of participants, including students, artists, academicians, and community leaders. In Wardha, Maharashtra, an art camp at Chakragruha, Sevagram Road, Warud, organised by the South Zonal Cultural Centre (SZCC), engaged over 300 school students in creative activities, fostering artistic expression and collaborative learning. Each workshop became a hub of creativity and collaboration, while the initiatives reinforced the spirit of service and civic engagement. Together, these activities not only celebrated India’s artistic and cultural diversity but also strengthened the collective resolve towards building a Viksit Bharat@2047 through creativity, responsibility, and civic pride.
