Hon'ble Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Inaugurates Key Centres of Excellence at Rashtriya Raksha University, Pasighat

On 6th October 2025, Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) had the privilege of hosting the Hon'ble Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, Lt Gen Kaiwalya Trivikram Parnaik, PVSM, UYSM, YSM (Retd.), at its Pasighat Campus. The visit marked the inauguration of four key centres of excellence, reflecting RRU's commitment to advancing national security, research, community welfare, and holistic student development.

The programme featured the NDPS Laboratory, enhancing research and testing in narcotics and psychotropic substances; the Human Performance Laboratory, promoting sports science and physical fitness, and the Psychosocial Care Centres at Anne's Home and Sub-Jail Pasighat, strengthening psychosocial support and rehabilitation for vulnerable populations.

The event was attended by high-ranking dignitaries and officials, including Shri Pawan Kumar Sain, IAS (Commissioner to Governor); Shn Tarum Makcha and Major Satyam Pant, ADCs to Governor, Shri Atum Potom, PRO to Governor, ASI (SG) V. Kumar, PSO to Hon'ble Governor, Sonalika Jiwani, IAS, DC East Siang, Shri Hibu Tamang, IPS, IGP Central Range (Pasighat); Brigadier, SIGAR Military Station; Shri Pankaj Lamba, IPS, SP East Siang, Subash C Looniya, Chief Engineer BRO Brahmank; District Arts and Culture Officer, District Medical Officer, Executive Engineer (RWD); Executive Engineer (Power); Dr. Jasbirkaur Thadhani University Dean RRU, Dr. Moirangmayum Sanjeev Singh Director Pasighat Campus RRU; Mr. Atish Barot, Chief of Staff to Vice Chancellor's Office.

Addressing students, faculty, and staff, the Hon'ble Governor remarked, "Institutions like RRU are not just Centres of learning; they are nurseries of national service, leadership, and character building." He commended RRU's initiatives in research excellence, innovation, and national service, inspiring all to contribute meaningfully to security, societal welfare, and community resilience. The visit concluded with interactive sessions with students, reinforcing RRU's role as a hub for cutting-edge research, education, and societal impact.
