Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), under the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, will organize extensive programmes across the country as part of the 150th birth anniversary celebrations of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, announced Mera Yuva Bharat State Director Anil Kumar at a press conference.

The programmes, planned over the next two months, aim to help the youth understand the pivotal role played by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in building a united India through the integration of princely states, and to encourage youth participation in upholding the unity and integrity of the nation. Ekta Padayatras will be organized in all districts from October 31 to November 16, 2025, with the objective of spreading Sardar Patel’s message of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat among the youth.

Representatives of Mera Yuva Bharat and volunteers of the National Service Scheme (NSS) will take part in the three-day Padayatra in each Lok Sabha constituency. As part of efforts to take the messages of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel to the youth and grassroots levels, reel competitions, essay competitions, and quiz competitions (Sardar@150 Young Leaders Quiz) will be organized prior to the Padayatras, informed Anoop Antony, the Central Government Representative in the Patel Birth Anniversary Celebration Coordination Committee, at the press conference.

Registrations for the competitions can be made through the MY Bharat portal: https://mybharat.gov.in/pages/unity_march. Two representatives from each district will participate in the National Padayatra, which will be organized from Karamsad in Gujarat, the birthplace of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, to the Statue of Unity in Kevadia (152 km) on November 26, observed as Constitution Day.
