As part of the ongoing Special Campaign 5.0 from 2^nd Oct to 31^st Oct 2025, Press Information Bureau, Imphal ,Government of India has launched a comprehensive exercise under Special Campaign 5.0 to identify and catalogue obsolete or unused electronic items such as computers, printers and other hardware. This initiative is Government’s commitment to responsible e-waste disposal, environmental sustainability, and the effective management of digital infrastructure.

The PIB Office Imphal led by Director Dr. Engam Pame ,sorted out and identified redundant items .The identified electronic waste will be disposed of, through authorized recyclers in a scientific and environmentally sound manner, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and  aims to minimize environmental impact, ensure safe handling of hazardous materials, and encourage resource recovery and recycling. The Special Campaign 2025 aims at saturation of Swachhata in all offices of all Ministries/ Departments including their attached / subordinate offices / PSUs / autonomous organizations by improving overall cleanliness of Government offices and enhancing experience of common public with Government offices.

Officers and Staffs clean the office premises  and roadside of the office building strengthening the commitment for healthy working stations.  Under the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam Initiative about 20 flower bearing indoor plants were planted for beautification of office and promoting green environment .
