Mid- Campaign Progress of Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs for Special campaign 5.0

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) is actively participating in the Special Campaign for Disposal of Pending Matters (SCDPM) 5.0 running from (2nd – 31St October, 2025). This year’s campaign places a special emphasis on e-waste disposal as part of the broader agenda to enhance efficiency in addressing pending matters and promote the upkeep and beautification of government offices and residential complexes.

Implemented in close coordination with MoHUA’s attached and subordinate offices, as well as Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), the campaign systematically targets disposal of e-waste generated in offices, along with clearing pendency related to: Service Deliveries, MP references, References from State Governments, Inter-Ministerial communications, Parliamentary Assurances, PMO references and CPGRAM matter etc in time bound manner.

Aligning with the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of a ‘Swachh Bharat’, the Ministry plays a vital role through conducting cleanliness drives for the maintenance, and upkeep of government offices and residential complexes—where the benefits of efficient disposal of pending matters and improved cleanliness are highly visible.The Central Public Works Department (CPWD) continues to provide full support for the effective implementation of the campaign.

Mid-Campaign Progress Highlights:

  • Reviewed 8,424 out of 17,084 files.
  • Weed out of 2,582 out of 3,467 files to streamline pending issues.
  • Conducted cleanliness drives at 259 sites, with an emphasis on e-waste collection and segregation.
  • Generated revenue of ₹2,162,223 through various campaign activities.
  • Freed up 173,927 square feet of space, contributing to better facility management.

The Ministry remains committed to the goals of SCDPM 5.0, ensuring the timely disposal of pending matters and promoting responsible e-waste management, thereby contributing substantially to the nation’s cleanliness, sustainability, and urban development objectives.
