Lt Gen CG Muralidharan takes over as the Director General of Medical Services (Army) from Lt Gen Sadhna S Nair AVSM, VSM who superannuated after more than four decades of service to the nation on 30 Sep 2025.
The General officer is an alumnus of Prestigious Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, he was commissioned into Army Medical Corps in 1987. The General officer is a renowned radiologist and holds the unique distinction of balanced command as well as staff exposure in various medical echelons across Northern and Western theaters, in varied operational environments.
Provision of holistic medical care to the tps, veterans and their dependents will be key focus area. Medical preparedness of forward medical establishments in the present dynamic environment with the challenges in the security domain becoming more pronounced due to technological advancements and ever-changing character of modern warfare will also be the prime thrust area.
