The Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Regional Office Peenya, under the Ministry of Labour and Employment in collaboration with the Peenya Industries Association, successfully organized an Awareness and Interactive Session on the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PMVBRY).
The event was graced by Hon’ble Minister of State for Labour & Employment, Government of India, Sushri Shobha Karandlaje, who addressed the gathering and highlighted the significance of PMVBRY in strengthening India’s workforce and enabling industries to expand their human resource base.

The session aimed to create awareness among employers about the benefits and provisions of the PMVBRY scheme—an initiative launched by the Government of India and implemented through EPFO to boost employment generation by providing financial incentives to employers for hiring new employees. The scheme seeks to encourage job creation and promote the formalization of employment, particularly in the manufacturing sector.
The PMVBRY scheme includes two key components:
• Part A: First-time employees earning up to ₹1,00,000 per month and enrolled under EPFO are eligible for an incentive of up to ₹15,000.
• The Government will provide incentives of up to ₹3,000 per employee per month to employers for two years, provided the employee remains continuously employed for at least six months.
• For entities in the manufacturing sector, the benefit can be extended for an additional two years.
EPFO officers from multiple Bengaluru offices also participated in the programme. The interactive session provided an opportunity for employers to directly engage with EPFO officials, clarify queries, and understand the operational aspects of the scheme. The initiative underscores EPFO’s commitment to promoting government schemes that contribute to national employment generation and overall economic development.
