Central Silk Board’s National Silkworm Seed Organization (CSB-NSSO), Bengaluru, proudly celebrates its Golden Jubilee, marking five decades of dedicated service to India’s sericulture sector. Since its inception in 1975, CSB-NSSO has stood as a cornerstone of reliability in the Indian sericulture sector, ensuring the production and nationwide supply of quality, disease-free silkworm seed. Through its unwavering commitment to scientific advancement, seed technology, and quality assurance, the organization has played a pivotal role in shaping the growth and global recognition of India’s silk industry.

The Golden Jubilee Celebration will be held on 24th October 2025 at 10:30 AM at the NIMHANS Convention Centre, Bengaluru. The event will be graced by Ms. Shobha Karandlaje, Hon’ble Minister of State for the Ministry of Labour and Employment & Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, as the Chief Guest, and by the distinguished Guests of Honour Dr. K. Sudhakar, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Chikkaballapur, Karnataka and Board Member, Central Silk Board; Shri Tejasvi Surya, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Bengaluru South, Karnataka; Dr. C.N. Manjunath, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Bengaluru Rural, Karnataka. The event will be presided over by Shri P. Sivakumar, IFS, Member Secretary, Central Silk Board, and Dr. S. Manthira Moorthy, Director (Tech.) & Director, CSB-NSSO.

The Golden Jubilee Celebration will feature a series of special events and releases that reflect CSB-NSSO’s journey of innovation and impact:

• Launch of the Golden Jubilee Logo and Emblem
• Release of a commemorative documentary film
