In view of the increased passenger traffic and to facilitate travel during the festive season, South Western Railway has decided to continue the operation of the SMVT Bengaluru–Bidar Express Special train services.

Train number 06539 will operate from SMVT Bengaluru to Bidar every Friday and Sunday until 31st October 2025, with an extension period from 2nd November 2025 to 28th December 2025, while train number 06540 will run from Bidar to SMVT Bengaluru every Saturday and Monday until 1st November 2025, with services extended from 3rd November 2025 to 29th December 2025. Each train will make a total of 17 trips in each direction during this period.

The trains will continue to run as per existing timings, stoppages, and coach composition, ensuring commuters are able to conveniently plan their journeys during the festival rush.
