Third event of Sansad Khel Mahotsav 2025 in Bengaluru North Constituency Concludes Grandly, Promoting Sports and Fitness at Grassroots Level

The third event of the Sansad Khel Mahotsav 2025, a major initiative to foster local athletic talent and fitness among youth of Bengaluru North Parliamentary Constituency, was held today at the Government First Grade College, K.R. Puram in Bengaluru. The event was marked by a vibrant display of community participation and enthusiasm, underscoring its role as a key step towards encouraging sports at the grassroots level.

The Mahotsav was graced by the Hon'ble Union Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME); Labour & Employement and Member of Parliament for Bengaluru North Constituency, Sushri Shobha Karandlaje. Addressing the event, she emphasized the importance of physical fitness and the role of such initiatives in nurturing India's future sports champions.

A Grand Event
The Mahotsav was organized with immense fervour and precision, reflecting a grand spectacle of community engagement and sporting spirit. The venue was meticulously prepared to accommodate the large number of participants and attendees and also to facilitate both competitive events and felicitation ceremony. The atmosphere was energetic and festive, with arrangements in place to ensure a seamless experience for all. The high turnout across all categories of people highlighted the successful mobilization and enthusiasm of the constituency's residents.

Key Highlights of the Event:
The day featured a diverse set of events tailored to engage different segments of the community
- Badminton Tournament: The flagship event saw the participation of over 500 constituents, demonstrating the high value set on fitness
- Tug-of-War: A spirited contest was held exclusively for karyakartas, promoting teamwork and friendly competition.
- Lemon and Spoon Race: This engaging and fun event was organized for senior citizens, ensuring their active and joyful participation in the Mahotsav.

The event was also attended by Shri Byrati Basavaraj, MLA, K.R. Puram, Shri. Harish S., Former Mayor of Bengaluru and several distinguished guests who lent their support to the initiative. Four achievers in various sports were felicitated. This gesture recognized their invaluable contributions to promoting sports and inspiring healthy lifestyle within the community.
