India’s Grand Musical Journey Returns: 67th Akashvani Sangeet Sammelan to Reverberate Across 24 Cities from 2nd to 29th November 2025

Prasar Bharati, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, is pleased to announce the 67th edition of its prestigious annual music festival Akashvani Sangeet Sammelan 2025 scheduled from 2nd November to 29th November 2025 across 24 centres nationwide.
Since its inception in 1954, the Akashvani Sangeet Sammelan has stood as one of India’s most enduring and respected cultural traditions. Conceived to bring the finest streams of Hindustani, Carnatic, and Light & Folk music to audiences across the country, the Sammelan has played a vital role in preserving, promoting, and popularizing India’s rich musical heritage. a cherished tradition that artists and listeners eagerly await each year. The Sammelan continues to be a coveted platform for both eminent and emerging musicians, offering them national recognition and reverence.
Giving details of the Sammelan, Gaurav Dwivedi, Chief Executive Officer of Prasar Bharati said that after a brief interruption due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this grand festival returns this year with renewed vigour. The 2025 edition will feature two concerts at each venue one dedicated to Indian Classical Music (Vocal/Instrumental) and the other to Light/Folk Music. Notably, Panaji and Shillong will exclusively host Western classical presentations, reflecting India’s regional musical diversity.
The Opening Day Concerts will be held on 2nd November 2025 before invited audiences at Delhi, Mumbai, and Chennai. Subsequent concerts will follow at Udaipur, Thiruvananthapuram, and Cuttack on 8th November, continuing until 29th November at Dharwad, Hyderabad, and Jalandhar.
All concerts are open to the public without any entry fee. Invitation cards can be collected from the respective Akashvani stations on a first-come, first-served basis.
