The Sansad Khel Mahotsav 2025, a dynamic initiative under the national 'Fit India' and 'Fit Yuva for Viksit Bharat' campaigns, commenced its major sporting events in the Bengaluru North Constituency today with immense enthusiasm and community participation. The event was organized by the office of Sushri Shobha Karandlaje, Union Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, and Labour and Employment, and Member of Parliament for Bengaluru North.

Minister’s Address: Addressing the participants and attendees, Sushri Shobha Karandlaje reiterated the Prime Minister's vision of promoting a robust sports culture at the grassroots level. She emphasized the importance of physical fitness for all ages and hailed the impressive participation, particularly from the senior citizens, as a testament to their enduring strength and spirit.

The Sansad Khel Mahotsav aims to not only promote sports and physical fitness but also to identify and nurture raw talent from the constituency, steering the youth towards building a 'Viksit Bharat' (Developed India), the minister said.

Main Events:

The day-long sporting events on November 8, 2025, saw strong participation across various categories:
• Throw ball tournament, Lagori and Tug of War competitions were held at the Kuvempu Ground in Nagashetty Halli of Hebbal constituency.
• ⁠16 throw ball team across Bangalore North constituency participated 
• ⁠ A special focus of the Mahotsav was the inclusion of our senior citizens community, who showcased their enthusiasm and active spirit in events like the Tug of War and the musical chair and Lagori

Honouring Sporting Legends:

The event was graced by the presence of several distinguished Guests of Honour, who are icons of Indian sports and throw ball national champions, inspiring a new generation of athletes.
