Rashtriya Raksha University Successfully Hosts 2nd Police Technology Summit 2025 in Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh

Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) today announced the successful conclusion of the 2nd Police Technology Summit (PTS) 2025, held in Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh. This pivotal event, organized by RRU under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, and supported by the AIC-RRU Incubation Foundation (AIM, NITI Aayog), served as a crucial platform for advancing internal security through technological innovation. The Summit brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) leadership, policymakers, burgeoning startups, and leading researchers, all committed to accelerating the adoption of cutting-edge technologies. Key areas of focus during the Summit included the implementation of SMART Policing initiatives, with particular emphasis on AI-driven policing, Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT), advanced drone and anti-drone systems, predictive policing methodologies, sophisticated cybercrime mitigation strategies, digital investigations, smart surveillance solutions, and the comprehensive modernization of police operations.

The 2nd Police Technology Summit, 2025 at Rashtriya Raksha University, Pasighat with Atal Incubation centre Rashtriya Raksha University brought together an extensive delegation from State Police Services, Central Armed Police Forces, and Central Police Organisations, along with innovators, researchers, and industry partners. The event reflected a strong collaborative environment focused on advancing technological capability, operational readiness, and national security innovation. Representatives from the State Police Services of Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, and Sikkim participated actively, demonstrating the region’s commitment to strengthening police modernization initiatives. Their presence was complemented by officers and delegates from several Central Armed Police Forces including Assam Rifles, SSB, NSG, and BSF, as well as officials from key Central Police Organisations such as NEPA, CFSL, NCB, NIA, CBI, and RPF. The participation of NDRF further enriched the discussions surrounding disaster preparedness, response mechanisms, and risk management.

The summit was graced by the esteemed presence of several distinguished guests, including the Honourable Mr. Tapir Gao, Member of Parliament; Mr. Tapi Darang, MLA of the Pasighat-East constituency; and the Inspector General of CRPF, whose participation underscored the importance and relevance of the discussions and innovations presented.

Shri Tapi Darang, Hon’ble MLA, addressed the gathering with an emphasis on strengthening policing infrastructure, promoting innovation at the grassroots level, and improving safety frameworks for communities across the region. Their insights set the tone for a purposeful and forward-looking event. The inaugural session concluded with expressions of gratitude to all participating agencies and dignitaries, followed by an official group photograph marking the beginning of the technical engagements.

A significant highlight of the event was the exhibition, which featured 22 participants showcasing their cutting-edge technological products specifically designed to advance law enforcement effectiveness. The Technology and Innovation Showcase formed a central part of the event and brought forward a broad spectrum of emerging and critical technology domains that highlight India’s rapidly expanding capabilities in engineering, defence readiness, cybersecurity, AI, and health innovation. The exhibition displayed significant advancements in design engineering, DeepTech research, and sensor-based intelligence systems. Innovations in geo-sensing, quantum research, and IoT-driven safety technologies demonstrated India's leadership in precision-driven hazard detection, risk neutralization, and real-time situational awareness—crucial for national security and infrastructure protection.

Artificial Intelligence featured prominently, with organizations presenting full-stack agentic AI platforms capable of supporting both operational and administrative policing functions. Vision AI systems, facial recognition technologies, multimodal surveillance platforms, and decision-support algorithms illustrated how intelligent automation is reshaping monitoring, tracking, and investigative processes. DefenceTech innovation continued to be a major theme, with displays of drone technologies, AR and VR-based simulation systems, and integrated training platforms showcasing India’s evolving focus on indigenous high-impact solutions aimed at improving mission readiness, tactical training, and operational precision.

Cybersecurity and digital forensics also formed a critical segment of the showcase. Exhibitors demonstrated capabilities in digital fraud analytics, cryptocurrency tracing, infrastructure threat monitoring, and advanced cyber forensic investigation, highlighting the essential role of digital resilience in combating modern cyber threats. Progressive developments in software engineering, IT services, EduTech platforms, and digital learning technologies further reflected India’s ongoing digital transformation efforts. Smart classroom solutions and next-generation educational systems presented scalable and impactful tools to enhance learning environments and bridge technological gaps in education.

The showcase also featured life-saving medical devices, sport and fitness risk-readiness solutions, and health-tech systems designed to enhance emergency medical response and strengthen preventive healthcare practices. These innovations demonstrated an integrated and human-focused approach to community health and safety.

The combined proceedings of the summit and the technology showcase underscored a powerful convergence of multidisciplinary scientific strengths, institutional collaboration, and national innovation. The active involvement of State Police Services, CAPFs, CPOs, and technology leaders reaffirmed India’s commitment to building future-ready policing systems, fostering indigenous innovation, and developing comprehensive technological ecosystems that support national security, socio-economic progress, and global competitiveness.
