Central Silk Board to Host Silk Mark Expo 2025 at Bengaluru
The six-day expo will showcase pure silk varieties, live weaving demonstrations, artisan stalls, and regional silk specialties

Silk Mark Organisation of India (SMOI), under the aegis of the Central Silk Board, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, is organising the Silk Mark Expo 2025 in Bengaluru from 4-9th December 2025. The six-day exhibition-cum-sale event will bring together authentic silk producers, master weavers, and leading silk clusters from across India, offering consumers a unique opportunity to experience and purchase 100% pure Silk Mark-certified products. The Grand Inauguration of Silk Mark Expo 2025 will be held on 4th December 2025 graced by Smt. Pragathi Rishab Shetty, Fashion Stylist & Costume Designer, as the Chief Guest.
The inaugural ceremony will be held in the august presence of:
- Shri P. Sivakumar, IFS, Member Secretary, Central Silk Board & Vice Chairperson, Silk Mark Organisation of India
- Dr. Naresh Babu N., IFS, Joint Secretary (Technical), Central Silk Board & CEO, Silk Mark Organisation of India
Shri P. Sivakumar, IFS has extended a warm invitation to the public to visit the expo and celebrate the world of pure silk. He emphasised that the expo aims to promote authenticity, strengthen consumer awareness, and support the nation’s dedicated artisans and weavers who preserve India’s rich silk legacy.
This year’s expo will feature:
- A wide range of Silk Mark-certified sarees, fabrics, stoles and designer collections
- Live demonstrations by expert weavers
- Interactive sessions on identifying pure silk
- Regional silk specialties including Mulberry, Tasar, Eri and Muga
- Participation from award-winning artisans and silk clusters
