Gunvatta Samarpan featured focused sessions led by QCI’s constituent boards (NABL, NABH, NABET, and NDIE), highlighting sectoral priorities such as healthcare excellence, laboratory competence, school accreditation, MSME competitiveness, and strengthening quality systems at the grassroots. The programme underscores QCI’s commitment to partnering with states and local ecosystems to scale internationally benchmarked quality frameworks, build institutional capacities, and embed a culture of excellence across public and private sectors.
The event also witnessed active participation from QPAC members, who were felicitated for their contribution toward driving quality transformation in Odisha. Leaders from hospitals, diagnostic laboratories, schools, industrial bodies, and MSMEs shared insights on sector-specific challenges and actionable pathways for improving service delivery and institutional performance.
As a citizen participation movement, Gunvatta Samarpan encouraged people and institutions across Odisha to engage directly with quality initiatives. The programme provided a platform where citizens, community groups, and service providers could collectively discuss gaps, share experiences, and co-develop solutions that strengthen quality at the grassroots.
Speaking at the event, Shri Chakravarthy T. Kannan, Secretary General, QCI, said, “Quality Council of India is working to build a global-quality accreditation infrastructure across sectors in Indian states. Through Gunvatta Samarpan, we aim to support the state in developing world-class, skilled quality professionals. We remain focused on making quality accessible at an affordable cost as we move toward Viksit Bharat, strengthening systems that elevate excellence.”
Delivering the special address, Dr. Dipak Mitra, Chairperson, QPAC and Sun Diagnostic Centre, Odisha, stated, “Odisha’s healthcare and diagnostic landscape is evolving rapidly, and quality must remain central to this progress. Gunvatta Samarpan encourages collaborative action, bringing together laboratories, hospitals, and quality professionals to strengthen systems that directly impact everyday lives.”
Participants and QPAC members emphasized that Gunvatta Samarpan will significantly accelerate last-mile adoption of quality systems, ensuring that hospitals, laboratories, schools, and MSMEs across Odisha are better equipped to deliver reliable, safe, and citizen-centric services.
The initiative is expected to further catalyze Odisha’s efforts toward building a modern, cohesive, and globally aligned quality infrastructure, reinforcing the shared national mission of creating a prosperous, resilient, and Viksit Bharat by 2047.
