The “Vanakkam Kashi” painting competition was organised today at Dashashwamedh Ghat as part of Kashi Tamil Sangamam 4.0. The event reflected the spirit of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat and aimed to highlight the cultural, spiritual and historical linkages between Kashi and Tamil Nadu through artistic expression.

The competition, held on the theme “Celebrating the rich cultures of Kashi and Tamil Nadu,” encouraged participants to depict shared traditions and values. Students and participants from various institutions took part, illustrating subjects such as the Ghats of Kashi, Nataraja, Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Meenakshi Amman Temple, Bharatanatyam, traditional weaving, Dravidian architecture and Banarasi traditions.

The results of the competition will be declared in due course, and the winners will be accorded appropriate recognition.
