Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER), Puducherry, conducted a Preventive Vigilance Training Programme on 16 December 2025 at the Conference Hall, 3rd Floor, SSB, as part of the observance of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, in accordance with the guidelines of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC).

The programme was organized by the Capacity Building Unit (CBU), JIPMER, under the guidance of Dr. Vir Singh Negi, Director, JIPMER, and under the supervision of Dr. Ravi Kumar Chittoria, Officer-in-Charge, Capacity Building Unit (CBU), and Shri Rangabashiam, Deputy Director (Admn.)

The programme was coordinated by the Dr. Nanda Kishore Maroju, Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), with administrative support from Shri Hawa Singh, Senior Administrative Officer (SAO).

The training session was delivered by Shri Amrithalingam V, Former Director of Accounts & Treasuries, Government of Puducherry, who provided valuable insights on preventive vigilance, ethical governance, financial propriety, transparency, and accountability in public administration. The session emphasized proactive vigilance measures and best practices to prevent irregularities and strengthen institutional integrity.

The programme witnessed active participation from approximately 100 employees across various departments and sections of JIPMER, reflecting the Institute’s strong commitment to capacity building and promotion of ethical standards in governance.

The initiative forms part of JIPMER’s continuous efforts to strengthen awareness on vigilance matters and to foster a culture of integrity and good governance within the institution.
