  1. The amount of loan sanctioned under AHIDF is ₹. 10,320 Crores and the interest subvention released against the approved 428 projects is ₹. 429.49 Crores. Three projects have been covered under credit guarantee of AHIDF being managed by NABARD.
  2. Under AHIDF, 139 Animal feed plants and 105 Breed Multiplication Farms have been established and strengthened. No IVF Centre have been established under AHIDF. However, under Rashtriya Gokul Mission, being implemented by DAHD, 24 bovine IVF Labs have been made functional.
  3. Under Rashtriya Gokul Mission one bovine In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) lab has been made functional in Assam at College of Veterinary Science, Assam Agricultural University, Khanapara Guwahati. From this lab 45 viable embryos have been produced and out of this, 19 embryos have been transferred. The benefit of the lab is accruing to all the dairy farmers of the North Eastern State. Under Rashtriya Gokul Mission so far 1 BMF is sanctioned in Arunachal Pradesh.
  4. Yes, Animal Husbandry is an important sub-sector of Indian agricultural economy and plays a multifaceted role in providing nutritional and livelihood support to the rural population. Livestock sector apart from contributing to national economy in general and to agricultural economy in particular also provides employment generation opportunities, asset creation, coping mechanism against crop failure and social and financial security. Value of output of milk is more than Rs. 12.21 lakh crore during 2023-24 (As per National Accounts Statistics 2025), which is the highest of the agriculture produce and even more than the combined value of Paddy and Wheat.
