Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has commenced the Fresh Admission process for the January 2026 academic session for various Certificate, Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Diploma, and Postgraduate Diploma programmes offered through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Online modes.
The admission process began on 16 December 2025 through the Samarth Portal, and the last date for submission of applications is 31 January 2026.
As part of its inclusive education initiative, IGNOU is offering a 50% exemption in admission fees for fresh admission and re-registration in certain Undergraduate programmes for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories. However, applicants who are already availing scholarship or fee waiver benefits under any other scheme will not be eligible for this exemption.
