Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) Puducherry has secured third place with a cash incentive of ₹40,00,000/- (Rupees Forty Lakhs only) under the Kayakalp Award Scheme for the year 2024–2025 by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. The Kayakalp Award Scheme aims to promote cleanliness, hygiene, infection control practices, and overall quality improvement in public healthcare facilities across the country.

Dr. Vir Singh Negi, Director JIPMER said, that this prestigious national-level recognition reflects JIPMER’s sustained and committed efforts in maintaining high standards of sanitation, biomedical waste management, infection control, public feedback mechanism and strict adherence to the Kayakalp and Swachhata guidelines.
