India Energy Week (IEW) 2026 is returning to Goa from 27–30 January 2026 as the first major international energy gathering of the year. The event is bringing together participants from over 120 countries and more than 6,500 conference delegates at a critical moment for global energy markets, geopolitics and climate action.

The conference programme sits at the core of IEW 2026. Through its Strategic Conference and Technical Conference, the global energy conclave will provide a structured platform for dialogue, policy alignment and technical exchange. Together, the conferences are designed to support informed decision-making and accelerate the delivery of practical, scalable energy solutions.

Strategic Conference: Leadership and Policy Direction

The IEW 2026 Strategic Conference is convening senior government representatives from countries around the globe, policymakers, CEOs and heads of international organisations for high-level dialogue on the most pressing challenges facing the global energy system. The programme features 300+ senior speakers across 65+ high-level sessions, delivered over four days of curated ministerial, leadership and policy discussions.

The Strategic Conference is hosting energy ministers from major energy producing and consuming nations, leaders of key international energy institutions, and chief executives of leading global energy companies. Participation includes senior representatives from the Government of India, energy ministries across the Americas, Europe, Africa and the Middle East, multilateral organisations shaping global energy governance, and international industry leaders spanning hydrocarbons, renewables and emerging clean energy technologies.

Discussions will centre on ten strategic themes addressing the core dimensions of global energy transformation. These include energy security and resilience, international collaboration, investment mobilisation, decarbonisation pathways, digitalisation, workforce development and energy equity. Sessions will also examine India’s expanding role in global energy diplomacy and its approach to balancing growth, affordability and sustainability.

The Strategic Conference is designed to provide policy clarity, strengthen international cooperation and support alignment between governments, industry and financial institutions in the current geopolitical environment.

Technical Conference: Enabling Implementation and Scale

Complementing the leadership-level discussions, the IEW 2026 Technical Conference will deliver a focused, solution-oriented programme. It is hosting 250+ technical experts across 45+ dedicated sessions, organised under 15 technical categories spanning the energy value chain.

The programme covers areas including artificial intelligence and digital transformation, hydrocarbons, hydrogen, biofuels, carbon capture, clean cooking, future mobility, LNG, power systems, refining and petrochemicals, utilities and grid infrastructure. Sessions focus on operational excellence, technology readiness and real-world deployment.

The Technical Conference provides a platform for engineers, scientists, operators and technology providers to exchange knowledge, share best practices and address implementation challenges across energy systems.

Together, the Strategic and Technical Conferences form an integrated framework that links policy ambition with technical delivery. This structure ensures that global energy objectives discussed at IEW 2026 are supported by credible pathways for execution and scale.
