India Post delivers the Invitations issued by the President of India to distinguished guests for attending the prestigious 'Republic Day At Home – 2026' reception, scheduled to be held on 26 January 2026 at the Cultural Centre, Rashtrapati Bhavan.

As part of this special initiative, an invitation has been sent from the Office of the President of India to Professor M. Krishnan, Vice-Chancellor, Central University of Tamil Nadu, Tiruvarur District, invited him to participate in the Republic Day reception.

The invitation was personally handed over to Professor M. Krishnan by Thiru. Kuzhandaivel, Inspector of Posts, Karaikal Sub Division under the Central Postal Region, along with postal delivery staff. Expressing his happiness, Professor M. Krishnan stated that the special delivery of such a prestigious invitation was a moment of immense pride and joy.

He further said that receiving an invitation from the Office of the President of India holds great significance for him, particularly as a person born in a farming family and now serves as the Vice-Chancellor of a Central University in Tiruvarur District. This honour brings pride not only to himself and his family, but also to his native village and to the State of Tamil Nadu as a whole, he added.

Professor M. Krishnan expressed his sincere gratitude to the Department of Posts and its dedicated postal employees, and the Central Government for their exemplary service in delivering this distinguished invitation.

Recognising the dignity and importance of an invitation issued from the Office of the President of India. Postal officials ensured its delivery in a secure, dignified, and personal manner by visiting the recipient in person. This occasion stands as a testament to the commitment, reliability, and service excellence of India Post.
