ESIC Scheme benefits 15 crore people in the country: Shri Manoj Kumar

On the occasion of the 75th year of the ESIC in social service, Special Service Fortnight is being celebrated by organising various programs across the country.  During this fortnight, many programmes like zero pendancy of Bills / Cash Benefits of Insured Persons, Cleanliness drive, Medical check up campus, Suvidha Samagam etc. will be organized at the ESIC Regional Office, Bangalore.   Shri Arasada Kishore, Joint Director, welcomed all the attendees and elaborated on the working of the Corporation.  In this programme, 50 Beneficiaries, Pensioners, Injured workers and dependents of insured were felicitated. Many workers expressed their gratitude for the excellent medical services and PDB / DB, provided by the ESIC and shared their pleasant experiences, saying how the ESIC had given them a new lease of life.  Along with the workers, various industry associations / unions also participated  in the celebration through their representatives.  The industry associations expressed their gratitude for the services of the Corporation and also gave their valuable suggestions in this regard.   Representatives from the other Dept of Ministry of Labour and Employment were also present in the meeting.


Dr. Dinesh Kumar Y.K., the Commissioner (Medical Service) assured of providing full cooperation from the State Government in the future as well in the interest of the workers. The programme was presided over by Shri Manoj Kumar, Regional Director. In his presidential address, he said that with the implementation of the new labour code and labour laws will result in addition of many new beneficiaries & further expansion of the ESIC scheme for the benefit of the workers in the nation. Medical infrastructure expansion is accelerating across the country which will improve medical service delivery through ESIC for workers. Today, about 15 crore people in the country are getting the benefit of this scheme.

Dr. Jitendra Kumar, Dean, Rajaji Nagar Medical College & Hospital, Shri Arasda Kishore, Joint Director, SRO Peenya, Shri Sunil Kumar Mahto, Joint Director, Shri Manish Gupta, Joint Director, Dr Salma Jabeen, State Medical Officer and other senior officers of the Corporation including pensioners were also participated in the programme.
