Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, and Minister of State, Smt. Raksha Khadse, inaugurated a two-day 'Chintan Shivir' organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India at InStem Auditorium, GKVK, Bengaluru. The Chintan Shivir is being organized for officials of Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) and the National Service Scheme (NSS).

Speaking after the inauguration, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya stated that this two-day brainstorming session is for personal growth, collective development, and achieving the goals set by the Hon. Prime Minister. " 'MY Bharat' is a new concept; we must achieve its goals by working together. We need to work with the youth, understand the expectations and thoughts of new generation, and identify & nurture their talent. To achieve this, we must strengthen our administrative system and be open for fresh ideas," he said.
The Minister further said, "Those, who possess vision, move forward in life. The words spoken by Vivekananda regarding nation-building are relevant even after 120 years. Mahatma Gandhi’s book 'India of My Dreams,' written 80-90 years ago, feels as if it was written just yesterday. Although the circumstances of that time were different, his vision was powerful. We must possess a similar vision. Based on this foresight, we have to design our new systems. We must unite the youth of the country and instil patriotism in them."

The Minister mentioned that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has designed the 'MY Bharat' scheme for the youth. "The NSS coverage spans 40,000 schools and colleges; we must expand this further. District Youth Officers, NSS District Coordinators, and University Coordinators must form a strong team at the district level. Our work must reach every college and university in the district," he added.
The Minister also noted the success of the 'Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue,' in which millions of youth participated. "Under the guidance of PM Narendra Modi, 12 lakh youth participated in the 'Budget-Quest,' and 48,000 wrote essays, which is a positive development. This is the era of digital technology and AI. We must stay one step ahead of the new generation," the Minister said.

Smt. Raksha Khadse, Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, addressed the gathering, underlining the significance of Chintan Shivir. "We must move 'From Discussion to Determination'. It is our collective resolve to take the country forward through the ideas of the youth to build a Viksit Bharat. All activities and programs undertaken in the last two years have received an excellent response," she said.
The MoS added, "Through the 'MY Bharat' portal, you all have come together to share the ideas or programs of your districts. We are making efforts to connect the youth of the entire country through this portal, and successfully uniting around 2.25 crore youth so far is a major achievement. Through the 'Nasha Mukt Bharat' program, we have worked to keep youth away from drugs and bring them into the mainstream of society. We must formulate a robust framework and strategy through this two-day camp."

Shri Nitesh Kumar Mishra, Additional Secretary, Dept of Youth Affairs; Dr. Pallavi Jain, Secretary, Dept of Youth Affairs; Shri Shiva Ratan, Joint Secretary, Dept of Youth Affairs and others attended the event. Officials from Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar, Lakshadweep, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Maharashtra are participating in this two-day camp.
