The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Regional Office, Binnypet, Bengaluru, successfully concluded the closing ceremony of its 75th Foundation Day and the ‘Special Services Fortnight 2026’ today. The event also featured a vibrant celebration of International Women’s Day.
The Special Services Fortnight, held from 24/02/2026 to 10/03/2026 in collaboration with the Sub-Regional Office, Peenya, focused on enhancing service delivery and public outreach. As part of Special Services Fortnight, conducted public health awareness seminars, cleanliness drives and tree plantation programs. Organized health camps and medical testing for insured persons in partnership with MS Ramaiah Hospital, Bengaluru. Held facilitation meetings with employers and insured persons to address grievances and disseminate information regarding ESIC services. During the 15-day period, claims amounting to ₹1.49 crore related to Sickness Benefit, Maternity Benefit, Extended Sickness Benefit, PDB/DB, and Funeral Expenses were settled. Payments were processed for 11,597 hospital bills and 138 MR bills of empanelled hospitals and insured persons.
The event was presided over by Shri Manoj Kumar, Regional Director, ESIC, with Dr. Salma Zabeen, State Medical Officer, attending as the Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Salma Zabeen emphasized that a developed society is built through empowered women. Shri Manoj Kumar, in his address, stated that women’s empowerment is the key to societal progress and stressed the importance of providing equal opportunities for women to thrive.
The event saw active participation from several senior officers, including Joint Directors Shri Manish Gupta and Shri Sunil Kumar Mahto, Deputy Directors, and Assistant Directors. The program featured insightful views on empowerment and equality shared by Social Security Officers Smt. Charita P. and Smt. Jagruti Tripathi.
