Press Information Bureau (PIB), Raipur, under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, organized a one-day  Vartalaap (Media Workshop) today in Kawardha. The workshop centered on the theme 'VB-G-RAM-G: Transformative Change in Rural India.' The event was graced by Shri Ganesh Shankar Mishra, Vice Chairman of the Chhattisgarh State Niti Aayog, as the Chief Guest, and Shri Gopal Verma, District Collector, Kawardha, as the Special Guest.

Addressing the media, Chief Guest Shri Ganesh Shankar Mishra emphasized that 'VB-G-RAM-G' is not merely a job-providing scheme but a visionary initiative designed to overhaul the entire livelihood landscape of rural populations. To ensure that the agricultural cycle is not disrupted, a 60-day block has been specifically incorporated so that the harvesting season remains unaffected for farmers. He highlighted that since over 73% of India’s population still resides in rural areas, this scheme will play a pivotal role in strengthening the rural economy. Shri Mishra added that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is a visionary leader, and this scheme is a core component of his 'Viksit Bharat 2047' vision.

During the program, District Collector Shri Gopal Verma shared detailed insights into the ground-level implementation of the scheme. He informed the gathering that 125 days of guaranteed employment has been ensured for rural households.

The workshop concluded  with local journalists, discussing the role of media in disseminating information regarding various central and state government welfare schemes. The event saw participation from numerous representatives of print, electronic, and digital media from across the Kawardha district.
