9th PharmaMed 2026 to be held at New Delhi


Pharma Industry leaders and Policy makers to come together for a High-Level Dialogue

Themed ‘Healthcare Equity: Reaching Every Citizen of Viksit Bharat,’ Conference to address critical areas including regulatory harmonization, innovation and equitable access to medicines

The Department of Pharmaceuticals, under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers in association with the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), is set to host the 9th PharmaMed 2026 on 27th March 2026 in New Delhi. The one-day conference will bring together key stakeholders from across the pharmaceutical ecosystem for a high-level dialogue on the future of India’s pharma sector. It seeks to address critical priorities including quality assurance, regulatory harmonization, innovation, and equitable access to medicines

Centered around the theme ‘Healthcare Equity: Reaching Every Citizen of Viksit Bharat,’ 9th PharmaMed 2026 is a focused initiative aimed at fostering dialogue between policymakers, regulators, and industry leaders to strengthen India’s pharmaceutical sector as it is transitioning from volume-driven to a value-driven global pharmaceutical hub. PharmaMed 2026 will feature a series of high-level sessions addressing key themes, including:

  • Redefining India’s Pharmaceutical Leadership: From Volume to Value, with a focus on innovation, R&D, biologics, and advanced therapies.
  • Strengthening Pharmaceutical Quality: Regulatory Harmonization & Global Compliance, covering GMP standards, regulatory alignment, and global best practices.
  • Recent Regulatory Developments, including a presentation by CDSCO on Post-Approval Changes (PAC) and compliance pathways.
  • Supply Chain Challenges & Tackling Counterfeit Drugs, focusing on API dependency, logistics efficiency, and domestic manufacturing resilience.
  • Last-Mile Access to Medicines, highlighting digital health, e-pharmacy frameworks, and improving affordability and accessibility.

Notable speakers include Dr Vinod K Paul, Member, NITI Aayog; Shri Satyaprakash T. L., IAS, Joint Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals, Government of India; Dr Rajeev Singh Raghuvanshi, DCGI, CDSCO; Shri Gregory Smith, Country Director, India Office, US FDA. Senior representatives from leading organizations such as BIRAC, NIPER, ICMR, IPA, Pharmexcil, Serum Institute of India, Mankind Pharma, Cipla, Tata 1mg, Apollo Pharmacy and other key institutions will also be part of the discussions.

As a leading industry body, PHDCCI plays a pivotal role in catalyzing economic growth, facilitating industry dialogue, and supporting policy advocacy across key sectors.
