The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Regional Office Nagpur, under the Ministry of Labour & Employment, has undertaken targeted outreach and facilitation measures to expedite the liquidation of inoperative EPF accounts and ensure timely delivery of social security benefits to members.

As part of its citizen-centric initiatives, the office is focusing on awareness generation, stakeholder engagement, and on-ground facilitation. District-level outreach programmes are being organized under Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0, enabling direct interaction with members, employers, and pensioners, along with on-the-spot grievance redressal.

Dedicated helpdesks, including PRO facilitation centres, have been set up to assist stakeholders in matters related to Universal Account Number (UAN), KYC updation, and claim filing. Special drives for bank account seeding, Aadhaar authentication, and KYC compliance are also being carried out to facilitate seamless online claim settlement. Members with inoperative accounts are being actively encouraged and assisted in submitting claims to access their accumulated funds.

These sustained efforts have yielded significant results. Till 13 March 2026, a total of 577 inoperative accounts have been liquidated, amounting to ₹18,17,32,763.

Shri Shekhar Kumar, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner-I and Officer-in-Charge, EPFO Regional Office Nagpur, stated, “We are leveraging targeted outreach along with EPFO’s digital initiatives such as UAN-based services, Aadhaar authentication, and bank account seeding to facilitate hassle-free claim settlement.”
