He said, “IOCL has ensured uninterrupted LPG distribution across Manipur, currently supplying around 11,000 cylinders per day—levels comparable to the pre-crisis period.”

Further, Shri K Bono Singh urged LPG consumers to use digital booking platforms such as SMS and IVRS, which now account for approximately 54 percent of all bookings. The use of Delivery Authentication Codes (DAC OTP) has been implemented to ensure that cylinders are delivered to genuine customers.

Performance-based data analysis is being used to identify irregularities and guide inspections. IOCL is working closely with the State Government to curb such malpractices, and several raids have already been conducted, he stated.

Shri K Bono Singh also mentioned that so far altogether 224 surprise inspections have been conducted from 24th March 2026 till date, following the installation of District Monitoring Committees across all districts in the State. He urged the public not to engage in panic bookings or hoardings and to ignore rumors, reassuring that LPG supply remains sufficient, and there is no need for customers to queue at distribution points.

To meet the requirements, allocation of commercial LPG cylinders for health and education sectors have been restored to 100 percent, and for other sectors 60 percent of commercial cylinders are released, he added.

Special arrangements have been made for migrant workers as per instructions from the Government of India, to increase supply of 5 kg LPG cylinders under the Free Trade LPG, he added, stating that 13 distributors or agencies have been identified to provide such facilities for migrant workers. He stated that migrant workers can approach the Department to avail such facilities.

Assuring that LPG availability is adequate in Manipur, Shri K Bono said that CAF&PD is committed to maintaining uninterrupted LPG supply, ensuring transparency in distribution, and taking strict action against any irregularities. He further encouraged the public of Manipur to continue using digital booking methods, avoid unnecessary stockpiling, and rely only on official sources for accurate information.
