Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) in Telangana have stated that the availability of petrol, diesel, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in the state is sufficient to meet the current demand, and there is no shortage of these products anywhere in the state. In a press note, the State-level Coordinator for OMCs stated that public sector OMCs are closely monitoring the supply situation and taking necessary steps to streamline logistics and further expedite deliveries. During the first 20 days of this month, OMCs recorded a marginal growth of 7% in petrol and diesel supplies.

Currently, bookings for domestic LPG cylinders have declined, indicating there is no panic among consumers. A total of 37.77 lakh domestic LPG cylinders have been delivered in the state till yesterday this month, which is within normal levels.

LPG consumers are encouraged to book cylinders through SMS, missed calls, IVRS, and online platforms. Customers are also requested to support and promote the Delivery Authentication Code (DAC) system, an OTP-based delivery mechanism designed to prevent diversion of LPG cylinders and ensure delivery to intended beneficiaries.Further, all OMCs have launched dedicated portals for commercial LPG supply. Commercial establishments are encouraged to use these platforms to place their requirements.

The Central and State Governments are actively promoting Piped Natural Gas (PNG) as an alternative cooking fuel. As of now, there are 1.03 lakh PNG connections in the state. PNG services are currently available in Hyderabad, Medchal, Sangareddy, Choutuppal, Nalgonda, Warangal, Khammam, Shadnagar, Ramagundam, and other selected towns across Telangana.Commercial establishments and industries may contact CGD entities operating in the state—such as Bhagyanagar Gas, Torrent Gas, and Megha Gas—for PNG connections.

The State Government has conducted 1,942 raids and seized 5,388 cylinders so far.

For migrant workers and students without local address proof, 5 kg Free Trade LPG (FTL) cylinders are available through authorized OMC distributors upon submission of valid ID proof and a declaration. In Hyderabad, a 5 kg FTL cylinder is priced at ₹1,547 (new connection), while the refill costs ₹673 per cylinder. Once the gas is consumed, cylinders can be exchanged for refills at authorized distributors or gas agencies.

The general public is once again advised to rely on authentic sources of information and avoid falling prey to fake news and rumours.
