CSIR-National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology (CSIR-NIIST) will organise a special event titled “Techno-Fest cum Customer Meet” on May 11, 2026, in connection with the observance of National Technology Day. The event is being conducted with the objective of strengthening engagement with stakeholders and valued customers, while providing a common platform for interaction and knowledge exchange.

Dr. C. Anandharamakrishnan, Director, CSIR-NIIST, stated that the “Techno-Fest cum Customer Meet” reflects the institute’s commitment to translating cutting-edge research into impactful technologies for society and industry. He noted that the platform would foster stronger engagement with stakeholders, promote industry partnerships, and accelerate the deployment of sustainable and innovative solutions developed at CSIR-NIIST. He further expressed confidence that the interactions would contribute to strengthening the innovation ecosystem and advancing India’s technological self-reliance.

Heads of research divisions at CSIR-NIIST will make brief presentations highlighting the R&D expertise within their respective divisions, along with key innovative technologies. Participants will also have the opportunity to interact with scientists, visit research divisions, and witness demonstrations of technologies, advanced research facilities, and equipment.

CSIR-NIIST has extended an open invitation to its customers and industry stakeholders to participate in the event and contribute to its deliberations. The institute has also encouraged wider participation from Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across the country, with a view to fostering new partnerships, facilitating networking opportunities, and promoting avenues for technology transfer and commercialisation.
