Nagaland Commences AI-Driven Capacity Building Plans (CBPs) Workshop at ATI Kohima

In a significant stride toward modernizing governance and administrative efficiency, the Department of Personnel & Administrative Reforms (P&AR), in strategic collaboration with the Administrative Training Institute (ATI), Nagaland, has inaugurated a premier two-day workshop on the development of the Capacity Building Plan (CBP) for various departments leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools. This pioneering initiative, under the aegis of the i-GOT (Integrated Government Online Training) Karmayogi mission, marks a transformative phase in the state's civil service reforms.

The sessions are being spearheaded by distinguished resource persons from the Capacity Building Commission (CBC), Government of India, including Smt. Ranu Mookerjee-Advisor, CBC, and Shri Maibam Warish-State Programme Coordinator for CBC (for Meghalaya, Manipur, and Nagaland).

The inaugural session, held at the ATI conference hall, saw the participation of 65 senior officials representing 35 key government departments. Delivering the keynote address, Shri Shashank Shekhar, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary (Agriculture) & Director General, ATI, emphasized the critical nexus between efficient government functioning and societal progress. "The fundamental ethos of governance lies in its responsiveness to the common citizenry. Enhancing our internal capabilities through structured frameworks is essential for delivering impactful public service," he stated.

The inaugural proceedings were chaired by Smt. Limakumla, Under Secretary, P&AR, and concluded with a vote of thanks by Smt. Livitoli Sukhalu, Deputy Secretary, P&AR. The event was further graced by Smt. Bendanglila, Additional Director, ATI, alongside other senior officers and faculty members.

By institutionalizing AI-driven capacity building, the Government of Nagaland reaffirms its commitment to fostering a professionalized bureaucracy capable of navigating the complexities of modern governance.
